    Got a new phone
line installed this morning in my apartment, ‘new’ as in the engineer
put a new wire from the street phone lines to a new phone socket
inside, went to the phone exchange (which happens to be a street away
from where I’m now living) then tested it. T
    hank you Mr Eircom Engineer.

Went to eircom.ie (using work’s BT bb) after it was installed,
done the broadband test on the site on my phone number, ‘failed’, ‘your
line is not suitable… blah blah…’. Phoned the engineer, after
explaining what I did, he said don’t mind it, the line is perfect and
there’s no reason for it to fail, to just phone sales on Monday and
say he what he said about the line, and failing that phone him back. Anyway,
    fingers crossed…
